Mashantucket Pequot vice chairman drops re-election bid

Richard E. Sebastian, the vice chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut, ended his re-election bid, The New London Day reports.

Sebastian was seeking a fourth consecutive term on the council. But he dropped out due to health reasons, the paper said.

The tribe is holding an election for two council seats on November 6.
