Passamaquoddy Tribe shares $1.9M in road funds with state

The Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township gave $1.9 million in federal road funds to the state of Maine.

The tribe received the money through the Indian Reservation Roads program at the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Maine Department of Transportation will use the funds to complete two projects on the reservation.

Last year, the tribe contributed $950,000 toward a $1.7 million bridge project.
