DC Circuit won't allow Abramoff figure to change plea terms

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments in US v. Michael Scanlon, No. 11-3024, on Monday.

Michael Scanlon pleaded guilty to bilking tribes out of more than $20 million. He agreed to repay the money but went back to court to challenge the restitution amount.

During arguments, the court flat out told Scanlon's attorney that the terms of the deal can't be changed, the Associated Press reported. A written order is expected shortly.
