Blue Lake Rancheria removes raw milk products following recall

The Blue Lake Rancheria of California has removed all raw milk products from its convenience store.

The tribe began selling products from Organic Pastures Dairy after passing an ordinance to regulate raw milk on the reservation. But the items were pulled after the California Department of Food and Agriculture issued a recall, blaming the company for causing illnesses in five children.

”We've pulled all the products, even the ones that weren't subject to the recall,” spokesperson Jana Ganion told The Eureka Times-Standard. “We have notices up on the display case and on the front of the store.”
