FBI and DOI executed search warrants at North Fork Rancheria

Agents from the FBI and the Interior Department executed search warrants targeting the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians, according to news sources.

The agents searched the tribal headquarters this morning and another, unspecified location. The nature of the investigation is unknown.

"We're still trying to figure out what's going on and what we need to do to rectify the situation. It's still evolving. Obviously, they are searching for some information. But we're not sure what it is," Charlie Banks-Altekruse, a tribal representative, told KMPH-TV.
