Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearing on energy bill

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is holding a hearing tomorrow on S.1684, the Indian Tribal Energy Development and Self-Determination Act Amendments of 2011.

According to the committee, the bill will streamline federal processes related to energy development on Indian Country. It would also encourage tribes to partner with private entities to build infrastructure for energy development on their lands.

The hearing takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. The witness list follows:
