Pine Ridge Reservation grocery store reopens after food scare

A grocery store on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota reopened on Saturday after the Oglala Sioux Tribe said food safety concerns were addressed.

The Sioux Nation Shopping Center faced protests after tribal members said they were sold outdated meat. But the store said there were no confirmed incidents of food poisoning or illnesses.

The store is the only full-service grocery on the reservation.
