San Carlos Apache man gets 21 years for murdering his brother

A member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe of Arizona was sentenced to 253 months in federal prison for murdering his younger brother.

Derrick Paul McIntosh, 26, pleaded guilty to second degree murder. He admitted that he stabbed his 18-year-old brother in the leg following an argument in June 2010.

"McIntosh’s brother attempted to flee to avoid further injury, but collapsed after only a short distance and died as a result of blood loss from his wound," the U.S. Attorney for Arizona said in a press release.
