Rep. Boren to work for Chickasaw Nation after leaving Congress

Rep. Dan Boren (D-Oklahoma) will work for the Chickasaw Nation when he leaves Congress at the end of its 112th session.

Boren will serve as president of corporate development, a new position. He said he will explore new economic avenues for the tribe.

“I'll be looking for any and all opportunities for the Chickasaw Nation to invest in,” Boren told The Oklahoman.

Boren will be stepping down as the top Democrat on the House Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs. During his remaining time in Congress, he will note vote on bills affecting the Chickasaw Nation.
