Choctaw Nation set to repatriate ancestors uncovered in Florida

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is set to reclaim ancestral remains that were found in Florida.

The remains of four people, including an infant, were discovered in January 2006. They are believed to be 1,000 years old.

The ancestors, along with artifacts, were found in the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Discoveries on federal land come under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
