Vice chairman of Pala Band jailed in public intoxication incident

Leroy Miranda, the vice chairman of the Pala Band of Mission Indians of California, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, The North County Times reports.

Miranda was arrested by San Diego County Sheriff's deputies early Saturday morning. He was booked and jailed for a short period of time before he was released later in the morning, the paper said.

This isn't Miranda's first run-in with the law. In February 2010, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of lewd conduct for allegedly soliciting a prostitute in public.
