Northern Cheyenne Tribe elects John Robinson as new president

Members of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana elected John Robinson as president in an election on Tuesday.

Robinson, who currently serves as a chief judge of the tribal court, defeated L. Jace Killsback, a tribal council member, for the post. The tally was 942 to 624, The Billings Gazette reported.

Robinson will succeed Leroy Spang, who did not survive the primary election. The inauguration takes place November 16.
