Crow Tribe holds inauguration ceremony for new set of leaders

The Crow Tribe of Montana held an inauguration ceremony on Monday for a new slate of leaders.

Darrin Old Coyote was sworn in as the new chairman. He vowed to take the tribe in a new direction for his four years in office.

“As a nation we have turned a bend and, as a people, are down in the valley of opportunity, a valley of positive change and a new direction in the history of our nation,” Old Coyote said at the ceremony, The Billings Gazette reported.

Also sworn in were Vice Chairman Dana Wilson, Secretary Alvin Not Afraid Jr. and Vice Secretary Shawn Backbone.
