Editorial: Corruption and laziness holding Native people back

"A small two sentence paragraph touched off a firestorm at the Morris Mirror last week as many took offence with a Thumbs Down comment on our editorial page.

The Mirror was flooded with emails that were both threatening and informative at the same time. A small group of individuals who have never been ‘friends of the paper’ also took this opportunity to try and seek revenge through various means.

This publication is not against any one group of individuals and/or nationalities and we believe in free speech as long as violence and illegal blockades do not take place. We also believe that citizens, whether they are Native or otherwise have the right to protest and try and make their lives better"
