Chickasaw Nation welcomes patients to new medical facility

The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday for a new health facility.

The Tishomingo Health Clinic is more than four times the size of the previous facility. It includes 21 exam rooms, 12 dental chairs, a drive-through pharmacy and other equipment and services.

"The opening of this new clinic marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to continually improve health services for Chickasaws and all Native Americans we serve," Gov. Bill Anoatubby said in a press release.

The tribe opened the clinic as part of a joint venture program with the Indian Health Service.
