South Dakota to consult with tribes about newest state park

The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks will meet with tribes next month to discuss the state's newest park.

A bill that created the 615-acre Good Earth State Park at Blood Run was signed into law last week. The site was a major trading post and ceremonial village for tribes in the region up until the 1700s.

The meeting with tribes will take place April 8, the Associated Press reported.
