Suquamish Tribe Chairman Leonard Forsman named to ACHP

Leonard Forsman, the chairman of the Suquamish Tribe of Washington, has been appointed to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation by President Barack Obama.

Forsman has served as chairman of his tribe since 2005. He will succeed John Berrey, the chairman of the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma, as the "Member of an Indian Tribe" seat on the ACHP.

“I am confident that these outstanding individuals will greatly serve the American people in their new roles and I look forward to working with them in the months and years to come," Obama said in a press release that announced Forsman's appointment and that of two other individuals.
