Yavapai-Apache Nation donates $19K to firefighters' families

The Yavapai-Apache Nation of Arizona donated $19,000 to the families of 19 firefighters who died on the job.

The 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots lost their lives while fighting the Yarnell Hill wildfire.

'The efforts of the Granite Mountain Hot Shot Crew is a true reflection of sense of community, and the Yavapai-Apache Nation is honored to have the opportunity to offer support to the families of the Granite Mountain Hot Shots," Vice Chairman Robert Jackson Sr. said, The Verde Independent reported.
