Oglala Sioux leader to meet with owner of Wounded Knee site

Bryan Brewer, the president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, will meet tomorrow with the owner of the Wounded Knee massacre site.

James Czywczynski has put the 40-acre site on the auction block. Along with an adjacent 40-acre parcel, he is asking $4.9 million even through the tribe says the properties were appraised for a total of $14,000.

Czywczynski previously met with Brewer and Wounded Knee descendants in the offices of the Native Sun News.
