Police officer for Quapaw Tribe charged with alcohol offense

A police officer for the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma was charged with an alcohol-related offense.

Rodney Kingfisher, 41, was found slumped over in his patrol car last Wednesday. He reportedly told officers that he had been drinking earlier in the day.

Kingfisher has been charged with actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants and possession of a firearm while under the influence of intoxicants. He was wearing his tribal-issued gun at the time
