The National Indian Education Association hosts its annual legislative summit this week. This year's summit takes place at the same hotel as the United South and Eastern Tribes Impact Week meeting. Both organizations are co-hosting several events throughout the week as a sign of a closer partnership. The NIEA summit kicks off on Wednesday with a presentation from the Bureau of Indian Education and consultation session with the Department of Education. It concludes on Thursday.
