Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) is being urged to veto a bill that allows business owners to refuse service to certain customers

Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), top industry leaders and even some of Brewer's closest advisers say should reject SB 1062. The bill allows businesses to cite their religion as the basis to deny service to gays, lesbians and other patrons.

"I hope Governor Brewer will veto #SB1062," McCain said on Twitter.

Brewer, who was in Washington, D.C. , on Monday for the National Governors Association meeting, has until Friday to make a decision on the bill.
