Navajo baseball star Jacoby Ellsbury made his debut with the New York Yankees on Tuesday night.

With a triple and a two-run double, Ellsbury helped lead the Yankees to a 6-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. But there were reports of boos in Fenway Stadium -- Ellsbury used to play for Boston before he signed a $153 million deal with New York.

“To say, if I was a young kid, ‘Hey, you’re going to put on two uniforms. You’re going to put on a Boston Red Sox uniform and a New York Yankees uniform.’ I’d say that’s pretty special,” Ellsbury told the Associated Press.

Ellsbury is a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes. He is Navajo, one of the four tribes in CRIT.
