Onondaga brothers selected as finalists for top lacrosse award

Two brothers from the Onondaga Nation of New York are among five finalists for the Tewaaraton Award, the top honor in college lacrosse.

Miles Thompson and Lyle Thompson play for SUNY Albany. Miles, a senior, finished the season with 82 goals in 18 games, while Lyle, a junior, had 51 goals and a 77 assists for 128 points.

The award will be presented at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., on May 29. It's named for Tewaaraton, the Mohawk word for lacrosse.
