The American Indian Cultural Center and Museum is coming up with a plan to raise $40 million in order to finish the facility. The state promised $40 million but lawmakers were unable to reach agreement on where to find the money. That puts $40 million in matching funds at risk unless the museum takes action. “We just can’t give up. It’s not good business to invest that much and not get it done," Lee Allan Smith, who is helping to raise funds for the project, told The Oklahoman. The museum has already received $97 million in state funds, nearly $15.7 million in federal funds and $8 million from tribal and other sources, according to news reports. Get the Story:
