Members of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana go to the polls on Saturday to vote on a constitutional amendment.

The People's Voice, a reform group on the reservation. spearheaded the amendment. It allows tribal members to petition for the recall of council members for malfeasance or for violating the constitution.

The tribal administration opposes the change. The legal department said it is vague, noting that it doesn't define malfeasance.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is overseeing the election.
