The Moapa Band of Paiute Indians evacuated more than 100 people from the reservation due to major flooding in Nevada.

At least a half-dozen homes were flooded on the reservation, The Wall Street Journal reported. Meanwhile, travelers were taking refuge at the Moapa Paiute Travel Plaza.

"There was no place for them to go," manager Terry Gates told the Journal.

The travel plaza sits right off I-15. A 50-mile stretch of the highway was closed today due to floods.
