A member of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians in California was attacked by a pack of dogs on the reservation.

Karen Shultz, 63, as mauled by at least six dogs on Sunday, KSFN reproted. She suffered severe injuries to her face and head and will require extensive surgeries, her nephew said.

"She was hurt very bad, very bad," Brian Haanen told KSFN.

Roaming packs of dogs have been an ongoing problem on the reservation, Haanen said. Several have been rounded up but others are still on the loose.
