A self-proclaimed "shaman" has been ordered back to Texas to serve out the remainder of his prison term.

Iron Thunderhorse, whose birth name was William Coppola, admitted that he cut off the electronic monitor on his ankle last June and left his halfway house in Houston. He claimed he walked all the way to Connecticut in order to be with his Quinnipiac "ancestors."

In hopes of staying in Connecticut, Thunderhorse claimed sovereign immunity but a judge approved his extradition to Texas, The Connecticut Post reported. He is serving a 99-year sentence for kidnapping and rape.
