Members of the Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho cannot sell salmon from their treaty fisheries.

The ban is in place until further notice, the Fish and Wildlife Commission said. It applies to hatchery and wild salmon.

In the Treaty of 1855, the tribe reserved the right to fish in all the "usual and accustomed places." Those rights extend to ceded territory and to the Columbia River.

The fishery covers more than 13 million acres, according to the Department of Fisheries Resources Management.
