Frances Charles re-elected as chair of Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe

The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe of Washington reported results of its May 30 election.

Frances Charles won re-election as chairwoman. She has served on the council for 17 years and has served as leader of the tribe since 2005.

Earlier in May, the tribe held an election for two council seats. Steve Joaquin Robideau and Anthony Charles won election and will each serve three-year terms.
