Starbucks is coming to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Construction on the 4,000 square-foot store will begin later this month, The Albuquerque Journal reports. The Starbucks will be one of the largest in the state and will feature a community meeting room and an outdoor patio.

Indian Pueblos Marketing, an economic development corporation created by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, negotiated a licensing agreement with Starbucks for the new location. It's part of a larger plan to redevelop the former Albuquerque Indian School property.

Most of the land at the site is already in trust. S.986, the Albuquerque Indian School Act, places another 11 acres in trust for the tribes.

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee approved the bill at a business meeting last month. It awaits action on the Senate floor.

"The new land will allow expansion of the economic opportunities for the Pueblos to develop a multi-use office and retail center that will include shops and a coffee shop," Sen. Tom Udall (D-New Mexico), the sponsor of the bill, said last month.
