Students from Chief Dull Knife College in Montana sent scientific experiments into space as part of an annual NASA event in June. The 24 students and staff from the tribal college on the Northern Cheyenne Nation traveled to NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia to participate in the RockOn! challenge. With little direct experience in space science, they were able to successfully launch all of their payloads. "We went there thinking we were so outgunned," faculty member Jeff Hooker said on NASA's website. "It was exciting to see that we weren’t always the first ones done, but we were never the last ones done." Hooker put together a grant proposal to raise money for the trip. Get the Story:
