A second person pleaded guilty for his role in the theft of millions of dollars from the United Auburn Indian Community of California.

Gregory Scott Baker, the tribe's former administrator, admitted that he participated in a scheme in which the tribe was defrauded of between $17 million and $19 million. He approved massively inflated invoices from a developer who also has admitted guilt for the crime.

A third person, Darrell Patrick Hinz, has been charged in the case but has not yet gone to trial. Baker may testify if that happens, The Sacramento Bee reported.

The developer, Bart Wayne Volen, has not yet been sentenced.

The case, US v. Volen, is being handled in federal court.
