A Tribe Called Red, the award-winning Native music group from Canada, will be performing for the first time in Alaska, Alaska Public Media reports.

The group's July 13 show in Anchorage is a benefit for the First Alaskans Institute, the Alaska Native Heritage Center and the Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation.

"This exciting partnership aims to strengthen and empower our communities and magnify our impact that each of our organizations strive to make in our communities, celebrating collaboration and vibrant healthy people and cultures," the First Alaskans Institute said on Facebook.

A Tribe Called Red released its latest single, Stadium Pow Wow, earlier this month. The group has said it plans to release a full-length album this year.
