Leader of Yavapai-Apache Nation among 'Most Influential Women'

Jane Russell Winiecki, the chairwoman of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, has been named one of the "most influential women" by Arizona Business Magazine.

Winiecki started an information technology firm 20 years ago and then opened a health and wellness business. Her career didn't end there there -- she went to work for her tribe in a variety of economic development jobs before winning the chairwoman's post last year.

“This honor is not about me and my success only. This honor is about my community and people of the Yavapai-Apache Nation. Together, as a people, we are honored for our leadership and community vision," Winiecki said in a press release, according to Native News Online.

Russell Winiecki will be featured in the "Most Influential Women in Arizona Business" issue of Arizona Business Magazine in July.
