Ho-Chunk Nation reaches out to urban citizens and community

The Ho-Chunk Nation is making its presence known in Chicago, Illinois.

The tribe recently installed more prominent signs at its branch office in the city, Nadig Newspapers reports. The office provides a variety of services to its citizens and hopes to become a resource for the greater community.

“We’re hoping to be more of a community center,” outreach specialist Nathan Dall said at a recent meeting, Nadig reported.

Ho-Chunk headquarters are in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. The tribe maintains branch offices in Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison and Milwaukee in Wisconsin, along with the one in Chicago and another in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
