White Mountain Apache Tribe seeks help in finding missing woman

A citizen of the White Mountain Apache Tribe remains missing after nearly two months.

Laverne John, 38, was last seen on December 8, 2017, The White Mountain Independent reported. Her family, the tribe and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are hoping someone will come forward with information on her whereabouts.

"We need your help," a family member wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

John, whose nickname is Geena, is believed to have gone missing in the areas of Show Low and Pinetop on the reservation.
