PRESIDENT OF THE SAN FRANCISCO FEDERAL RESERVE TO SPEAK AT #NAFOA40TH
NAFOA is pleased to announce that Mary C. Daly, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, will be joining economist Aaron Klein for a fireside chat during the Tuesday general session at NAFOA’s 40th Annual Conference.
President Daly leads the Twelfth Federal Reserve District, the largest and most diverse District within the Federal Reserve System. Charged with promoting a healthy and sustainable economy and supporting the nation’s financial and payment systems, the San Francisco Fed serves a fifth of the nation’s population.

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 6: LEADING PEOPLE AND INVESTING TO BUILD SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES
The deadline for Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities has been extended to Sunday, March 6 at 11:59pm PST.
In this unique leadership and investment program, you will join an exceptional group of Native investment professionals and leaders to take your finance and leadership skills to the next level. As you explore emerging research and best practices, share experiences and insights, and try out new ideas in a supportive environment, you’ll prepare to contribute more fully to your community’s and/or organization’s ongoing success. You will emerge reenergized about your career and empowered with a realistic agenda for change in your organization and/or community – and in your own approach to leadership.

3. TRIBAL FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS:
PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THE GASB’S TECHNICAL PLAN
The Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC) is seeking feedback in prioritizing the Governmental Accounting Standards Board’s (GASB) technical plan. This survey will inform the GASAC and GASB on what areas to focus its research.
The survey is geared towards Tribal CFOs, Treasurers, and Financial Professionals. Engagement in the accounting and financial reporting process can help ensure that tribal concerns and unique needs are heard and incorporated by the GASB.
The deadline for completion of the survey is Tuesday, March 1, 2022, and should take 20-30 minutes to complete.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the financial system, strategy and reporting of Noo-Kayet Investments (NKI), including oversight of the enterprise support departments of finance, human resources and IT to support NKI’s assets under management and investment plan implementation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or other closely-related field of study.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer, or as a senior level financial executive.
