Mr. Las Vegas: Wayne Newton
Wayne Newton’s legacy as a stage and screen performer is well established over his six decades in show business. He’s also a strong advocate for Native people, working for years to help his tribe gain recognition and on behalf of Native veterans.
Host Alyssa London interviewed Newton in front of a live audience at the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development’s recently-concluded RES conference. The event was held in Newton’s hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Native America Calling bring you their entire conversation. There might even be time for a bit of “Danke Schoen.”I’m bringing in a special guest for todays recorded episode of @180099native Native America Calling + @ncaied RES general session! Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton! pic.twitter.com/4IyWINqVXS
