Column: Troopers not at fault for raid

A lot of people were vilifying the state police last week for their raid on the Narragansett Indian smoke shop. "It seemed like the Gestapo," said one witness interviewed on TV. "They just came in, threw people aside," said another. And Governor Carcieri said he'd told them to withdraw at resistance, and was miffed they hadn't. Judging by talk radio, I'm guessing most people might say the troopers were at fault. I'm afraid I'm not one of them.
