Tribe seeks to rescind anti-gaming rider

The Narragansett Tribe is lobbying Congress to overturn a legislative rider that prevents them from opening a casino under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. Although the tribe won a decision from the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, the father of current Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R-R.I.) wrote language erasing it. The Supreme Court declined to review the circuit ruling, letting stand the tribe's victory.
