'Smoke Signals Edition': Social Distance Powwow
Posted: Monday, April 27, 2020

Note: The posted video contains footage of a person accused of sexual harassment. It is taken from the final minutes of a Social Distance Powwow broadcast.

The source video was broadcast on social media on April 26, 2020, then removed, by the administrators of the Social Distance Powwow group after questions were raised about the inclusion of the person.

"SDP as a group strives to avoid politics, judgement, as well as negativity and hostility whenever, and wherever possible," the administrators said following the broadcast. "That said, we do not condone acts of violence of any kind against women, or anyone, for any reason."

The Social Distance Powwow group was established as a space for Indigenous peoples to maintain their traditions and cultures amid the COVID-19 global health pandemic.
