” It is now ever so important that we practice social distancing,” Panteah said.

The tribe reported its first case on March 29 and has since implemented a curfew on the reservation in New Mexico. The community is close to the Ramah Chapter of the Navajo Nation, where six cases were confirmed on April 3. It’s also near Gallup, which is considered a hotspot for the coronavirus in the state.
