Casino workers fear loss of jobs due to bill

Employees of Connecticut's two tribal casinos say a bill introduced by an anti-gaming lawmaker will cost them their jobs.

The employees rely on a state-subsidized bus service to get to work. But state Sen. Edith Prague, a Democrat, says the state has to drop its support because the tribes don't allow workers to form unions.

Employees who showed up for a city council meeting in Hartford said unions are not an issue. "We just want to keep our jobs," a security worker said, The New London Day reported.
