The Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a finding of no significant impact, or FONSI, for
a $100 million casino proposed by the
Match-e-be-nash-she-wish Band of Pottawatomi of
Michigan.
The tribe is seeking to have 145 acres placed in trust for the project. The BIA will allow a 30-day comment period, according to Chronicle News Service.
The tribe has partnered with Station Casinos for the facility but has not yet negotiated a Class III compact with the state.
