Small Oklahoma tribes oppose gaming question

Some of the smaller Oklahoma tribes are opposing a state question that would require tribes to share revenues in exchange for more electronic casino machines.

State Question 712 is being pushed by the Chickasaw, Cherokee and Choctaw nations, the largest tribes in the state. But the Sac and Fox Nation says it would force tribes to give up their sovereignty.

One contentious provision requires tribes to sign tobacco compacts in order to offer the casino games. The state would be allowed to take action against a tribe that doesn't share tobacco revenues with the state.
