The California Valley Miwok Tribe announced plans for a casino in the Bay Area but none of the five members shows up for the press conference on Monday.
The tribe wants to buy 209 acres near Gilroy for a major resort. Investors said it would create jobs and stimulate the economy.
The tribe has five adult members, including one in jail and four who were adopted into to the tribe very recently.
