A group called Stop the Casino 101
Coalition plans to file another lawsuit in hopes of stopping the Federated Indians of
Graton Rancheria from building a casino in California.
The group already lost one lawsuit that went before the 9th Circuit Court of
Appeals. But that was before the Bureau of Indian Affairs finalized the tribe's land-into-trust application.
“It will be an environmental disaster and we think the environmental impact statement is vitally flawed,” Chip Worthington, one of the group's leaders, told The Petaluma Argus-Courier.
The National Indian Gaming Commission is publishing a notice of its record of decision in today's issue Federal Register.
The ROD states that the tribe's land is eligible for gaming.
