The Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona updated plans for its off-reservation casino.

The tribe made a number of changes to its original proposal. For example, the casino portion of the West Valley Resort will be moved to land that the Bureau of Indian Affairs has agreed to place in trust.

"We are committed to being good neighbors in the West Valley, and we take our discussions with residents and community leaders very seriously,” Chairman Ned Norris Jr. said in a press release, The Ahwatukee Foothills News reported.

The tribe still has to wait for resolution of a lawsuit that the city of Glendale and the Gila River Indian Community filed against the BIA.
